1. Information We Process

We process only the minimum information needed to provide the Service:

• Video links: when you paste a link into the downloader, that link is sent to our server solely to fetch video information and perform the download.
• Basic usage data: non-personal technical information such as browser type, device type and pages visited, used to improve the Service.
• Theme preference: your light/dark mode choice is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and is never transmitted to our servers.

We do not require you to create an account, provide your name, email address, phone number or any other personal identifier to use the downloader.

2. How We Use the Information

• To fetch video information and deliver the download;
• To maintain, debug and improve the performance and reliability of the Service;
• To detect and prevent abuse, such as excessive automated usage;
• To display the Service correctly in your preferred theme.

We do not sell, rent or trade your information to third parties. We do not use your information for advertising or marketing purposes.

3. Downloaded Files & Retention

When you download a video, the file is generated temporarily on our server so it can be streamed to your browser. As soon as the file has been delivered to you (or the transfer is abandoned), the file is automatically deleted from the server. We do not store copies of downloaded videos, and we do not review their content.

Video links are processed in memory during the request and are not logged with their full content. No download history is kept.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

We use local storage in your browser only to remember your light/dark theme preference. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, fingerprinting or third-party trackers. If you clear your browser's site data, your theme preference will simply reset to your device's default.

5. Server Logs

Like most websites, our servers automatically record basic log information such as the pages requested, the date and time of requests, and the requesting IP address. These logs are used exclusively for security, troubleshooting and performance monitoring, are retained for a short period, and are not combined with any other information to identify you.

6. Third-Party Services

Our More Apps page contains links to external applications operated by third parties. When you leave UniDownload and visit those applications, their own privacy policies apply. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites and encourage you to review their policies before sharing any information.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the Service and the data processed by it, including HTTPS encryption in transit, restricted access to servers and regular software updates. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly remove it.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you;
• Request correction of inaccurate information;
• Request deletion of your information;
• Object to or restrict certain processing;
• Withdraw any consent you have given at any time.

The Service may be accessed from anywhere in the world. The minimal data processed (such as video links in memory and basic server logs) may be processed on servers located in different countries. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree to this processing of data across international borders.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the Service, or legal requirements. When we make changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
